This photo series captures the backstage view of the lower-level football competitions in the Czech Republic. Most lower-level football clubs in the Czech Republic have a very long history dating back to the last century. Although these are fully amateur competitions, football is played here with the heart and the real enthusiasm. The weekend days when competition matches are played are the main cultural event in the village, bringing together most of the local people. Football preserves this tradition and passes it on to future generations.
